About the Artists:

CIRCLE OF RHYTHM are heralded as Australia's most exciting rhythm trio; Greg Sheehan, Bobby Singh and Ben Walsh have between them changed the face of percussion in Australia. Expect a power house of razor-sharp, precision beats and drumming of the highest order delivered in a sometimes humorous and relaxed Australian approach and do not shy away from melodic percussion, creating a very varied and accessible listening experience.

World citizen, EPIZO Bangoura is one of Africa`s leading percussionists. A former member of the famous Ensemble koteba of ivory coast was born into a family of Griots, highly respected and honoured members of this community of musicians and storytellers, keepers of their ancestral traditions and customs.

Sydney based SIBO BANGOURA is originally from Guinea in West Africa, Sibo was born into a Griot lineage - the traditional musicians, storytellers and dancers of his culture. At Banquet of Dreams this year, he will be performing with his local students, as well as supporting his brother, Epizo Bangoura.

HANDS HEART & FEET - joyful, high-energy funky percussion and dance troupe combined with elaborate costuming and a spirit of celebration. Well known and loved in the local Blue Mountains communities at major festivals for their inclusive, fun and colourful performances.

VERONICA GILMER FLAMENCO are performing Bulerias, which are a light-hearted dance with a strong rhythm where each dancer is able to display their own personal talents accompanied by "palmas" (hand-clapping) and "jaleos" (calls of encouragement) from the group. Veronica is just back from Madrid with a few students, bringing us home some authentic passion. They will be accompanied by Blue Mountains legendary percussionist Peter Kennard.
