The Friends of the Mechanics Institute are back and super-excited to kick off their new concert season at the popular Lawson venue this Saturday, December 1. Doors open at 2.30pm for eight hours of music by diverse Blue Mountains performers, including the Quagmires, Willem Roorda, harmonica player Rob Thompson, Soular Spill, Matt Tonks and Hail Clive.
Adults $25, pensioners $20, teens 15-18 $10, kids free. Funds will help the Friends stage future concerts. Next show is folk-cellist Monique Clare with percussionist Caleb Colledge on Wednesday, December 19. Tix $20. And get your tickets now for the return of renowned international guitar trio Ralph Towner, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Slava Grigoryan on February 16, 2019, after their triumph before an awe-struck audience at the hall in 2014.
