Picture this: You've arrived at Winter Magic bright and early to get a good parking spot (hey, you're a rebel - you ignored the public transport option). You sling your guitar out of the boot and walk past stalls setting up on the frosty street. Then it hits you - hunger!
Tummy rumbling, you stumble into The Family Hotel and read the chalkboard - "Busker's Brekkie". You sign up, sip tea and scoff toast until your turn to perform your 1 - 3 best songs, then you grab the first prize and head home, no need to busk on the streets in fingerless gloves after all!
The Family Hotel is providing live music all afternoon and evening during Winter Magic Festival on June 24 in Katoomba. The ‘Buskers Brekkie Competition’ has registration from 8:30am, and kicking off at 9am. Each busker performs 1-3 songs, and under 18s welcome (accompanied by guardian). Headlining the Katoomba Hotel Stage are Battered & Bluesed plus Sideshow Annie, but get in early before it hits capacity.
