Gypsy favourites Lolo Lovina are back

Get Ready! Lolo Lovina are back live in concert @ the 1930's Metropole Guesthouse before heading to one of the biggest festivals in the world, the SXSW in Austin, Texas.

On Friday Feb 9th, don’t miss Lolo Lovina’s brew of intoxicating, cosmopolitan virtuosi supercharged with Unza, swing and Balkan gypsy beats.

Lolo Lovina is the only ethnic Romani band in Australia, fronted by Hungarian Romani-Gypsy singer Sarah Bedak. The group’s music is a beautiful reflection of Bedak’s cosmopolitan identity – an identity enriched in childhood with three native tongues and cultures.

The charming and passionate performance of the charismatic singer makes each concerts an unique experience for the audience.

Featuring Serbian Rroma (drummer) and Nenad Radic (guitarist), Stuart Vandegraaff (sax, clarinet & Ney), David Carr (guitar & banjo) and Nathan Gatt (double bass).

The group have played at the Opera House, Guca Festival Serbia, and across Europe to full houses. In June 2016, Their album ‘RromAntics’ received a 4 Star review in the London based world music magazine Song Lines.

"...Traditional Gypsy tunes alternate with Lolo originals here, and the arrangements are solid, tight, classy and brassy..." – 4 STAR review of Rroma Sapien by Seth Jordan in Songlines Magazine, London UK. June 2016.
