In Bloom at the Toom - blog post image

In Bloom at the Toom

Fresh from some ravenous support sets around Sydney, and a short studio hiatus, party rockers Bermuda Bloom are bringing their electric live set on the road with the fishy name Spicy Tuna Tour.

Combining sharp dance-rhythms, soaring vocal melodies and stirring harmonies, Bermuda Bloom have been described as 'part-Muse, part-Two Door Cinema Club, stirred up in a barrel of experimental mystery-punch at the thumping-est house party you've ever been to'.

After some downtime in the studio, band guitarist Dave Hutchinson says he and the guys ‘all got itchy feet’ and just spontaneously decided to get back to what they love, playing live on tour again.

For Bermuda Bloom, Katoomba was always on the Spicy Tuna Tour list. David grew up in the mountains and has always felt a strong affinity with the local music scene.

‘I’ve always been inspired by the amazing music culture that we have up here… I grew up in the Mountains, idolising the bands that would headline Winter Magic and sneaking in to Trisellies (now the Station Bar) to catch bands like Jumbledat and Rumpunch push a brand of music that you could only really hear in the Mountains’ – Bermuda Bloom guitarist, David Hutchinson.

So, David says ‘Strap on ya dancing kicks and come have a night of it’.

See the guys at the Baroque Room in Katoomba on Saturday September 23, joined by locals Feast of Fools and soul queen Andie Isalie.
