Australian audiences will finally get a to experience the breathing vibrating space that Chile band Föllakzoid create, when Domingo, Diego and Camilo make their first ever foray to our shores to hypnotise audiences across Sydney, Melbourne, Katoomba, plus one very special performance at Hobart's world-famous winter solstice festival, Dark Mofo.
Heavily informed by the heritage of the ancient music of the Andes, the band has learned to integrate this influence with contemporary sounds of their times, creating a rich yet minimalist atmosphere. On the books, they are a mono-tonal band; experienced live, they are travellers of the mind, and said to create musical enlightenment everywhere they play.
Föllakzoid have released three albums with acclaimed US label Sacred Bones Records, to raving reviews. Their latest LP – III – was created in collaboration with Atom TM and Jason Spaceman.
Make them welcome to our shores on 21 June at Roxy Room (Hotel Gearin) with local support Jon Flood.
