The Hollands! have release their 4th full-length album - The Last Dance on Dutchy Love Records.
Recorded over 7 days in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia with recording engineer, Chris Gillespie at his off-grid, solar powered, Blue Sky Recording Studios. Mastered by Justin Perkins of Mystery Room Mastering in Milwaukee, WI.
The Last Dance is The Hollands! most diverse and comprehensive album thus far. In a time of historical unrest, this album speaks to the heart of what really matters in this life. Featuring stories of lost love, life, death, family, and longing for a sense of home.
The musicality of The Last Dance holds to the essence of The Hollands! Folk Americana roots with beautifully woven harmonies and core instrumentation of Guitar, Cajon, Mandolin, Banjo, Piano, and Ukulele. However, in true Holland fashion, a hand full of all-star players were invited to chime in on the album! Including, famed Aussie blues guitarist, Cameron Henderson (Middle Kids) who added a few licks on the Gretsch hollow body. Singer/Songwriter, Chris Gillespie laid down the Bass. Irish flutist, Colleen Davick showcased on the Penny Whistle. Accomplished violinist, Jeffrey Niemeier enhanced the album with his fireball fiddling. LA composer, Jeff Kurtenacker, offered undertones on the Hammond organ. And, Jason Torrens (Cisco Caesar) added his drumming magic.
"In an ever-increasing musical world of "single" releases, it is still important to find those albums that are well-thought-out and offer inspiration and hope. The Last Dance is one such album. "An enjoyable listen, start to finish." Justin Perkins, Mystery Room Mastering.
2019 Tour: The Hollands! will be launching The Last Dance in Australia, touring through NSW, VIC, and TAS before heading to the US to tour the album all of 2019.
