Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival: Anthony Priwer concert + second album

Adelaide uke sensation, Anthony Priwer, is pleased to announce the release of his sophomore album, ‘The Photographer’ – available now in digital stores and streaming sites worldwide.

Along with the new album, Anthony will be infusing the Mountains with his vocal blend of acoustics as closing act of the Old City Bank Bar (The Carrington), on stage this Sat Feb 10 at 8pm as part of 2018's Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival.

Anthony’s raw, live, auditory presence has us counting down the days in anticipation for the Festival – that's kicking off this Fri 9th Feb with a dinner and a show in the Grand Dining Room of the Carrington Hotel, Katoomba. Check out the uke Festival’s Facebook page Here, for the weekend's ultimate gig guide.

Heard below: Anthony's new album's signature title track, 'The Photographer'.

For Anthony, The Photogapher was inspired by a real-life encounter with an old photographer. As Anthony recalls, "He said, 'Liking someone is like taking their photograph. You've gotta find their good side.' And the next day, his words came back to me and I started writing the song."

Anthony writes new songs in a classic style, with influences from traditional pop, country and jazz. With warm and heartfelt vocals, accompanied by himself on ukulele.

Anthony has been a performing singer-songwriter since 2013. The latest album, sees Anthony backed up again by the acclaimed The Deanna Djuric Trio (Deanna on piano, Tim Bowen on double bass and Mario Marino on drums and percussion). The Photographer was co-produced by ARIA-nominated engineer Gabs Agostino at Chapel Lane Studios in Anthony's hometown of Adelaide.
