Psyfari festival moves to ACT

Psyfari, one of Australia’s most unique music events, is back and shaking things up with some changes for 2018! This year, the family friendly mulit-day conference camp and festival, is headed to the ACT, with the next addition of the event, ‘Psyfari Jamboree’, to be held in the picturesque Tharwa region.

The low-down!

Psyfari Jamboree, is running from 23rd-25th Feb and will feature over 100 music acts, performers, speakers and artists. The event offers a soiree of entertainment that’s sure to satisfy – with an art gallery, workshops area, multiple stages, a kids’ space and market stalls! Those attending camp together, attend workshops together, view art & musical performances, all while enjoying the spirited outdoor ambience.

Oh and don’t forget, Psyfari has a ‘wild’ theme, so be ready to dress up as an animal and embrace your costume’s inner wild side as you safari through the jumping jungle medley of music.

About Psyfari Jamboree

Psyfari Jamboree marks a new chapter for Psyfari, marking the festival’s move to the ACT as well as a reduction in the overall festival size. This year, the event’s limited to only 2,000 tickets in total, a significant downsize from the previous years’ massive 4,500 festival-goers. This new format even more focused on nurturing and supporting the community around which the event has been created and grown. Psyfari has always organically focused on the community, as opposed to being driven by profits from ticket sales.

New venue, Caloola Farm

Caloola Farm is the perfect venue, full of hospitality and support. The venue was also chosen for it’s long history of supporting community gatherings who have suffered misfortune. The grounds are ample, with the rural setting offering plenty of space for camping with minimum impact on neighbours.

With Psyfari’s experiencing its fair share of hurdles and challenges over recent years, orgainiser are looking to give back to its welcoming new home. To say thanks, Psyfari will be lending a helping-hand to Caloola’s program to help troubled youth and people who have suffered distress, with the opportunity to be part of something special and forge new friendships.

Psyfari’s community liaison will soon be moving to the area and visiting neighbours and locals, keen to connect and have them involved in the event if they are interested. As with the previous location, the event is seeking to form great relationships with the local farming community while giving the area a healthy economic boost.

The Line-up

The full music line up for the event is expected to be announced in the next week, and being well known for its eclectic variety, the program is sure to have something to please almost every taste. Following that will be announcements listing the workshops, talks/presentations, artists, and performers.
