Soular Spill, fronted by charismatic jazz vocalist Sarah Jane Spillane, headlined at the June Lawson Folk session.
The band including Skye Evans (double bass) and Colin Day (guitar), plus special guest sax player Tom Hespe delivered spellbinding performances of the old standards.
The night also featured shorter floor spot performances from Ben Scott, Ian Tanner, Michael Macken & Elle Peterson (with John Lee joining in on fiddle and mandolin) and a very special acapella performance from new local quartet "Ma Non Troppo", whose set ranged from ultra-serious classical pieces right through to side-splitting renditions of Abba’s Mamma Mia!
