On-stage folk antics with “Crazylegs” and his Rhythm Boys

Canada's multi award-winning folk/roots act, Gordie "CrazyLegs" MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys, are back in Oz for a 23-date tour in March, including this year’s Blue Mountains Folk Festival 16-17 March.

MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys are one of the most sought-after performers on the international roots music circuit right now. On stage, Gordie and the boys enthrall with their exceptional musicianship and exuberant, highly entertaining onstage antics - often involving the ace fiddler's renowned step dancing that has aptly earned him the nickname, 'Crazy Legs'.

As part of the March tour, Gordie "CrazyLegs" MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys will be performing onstage (dance antics included), at NannupPort Fairy, Yackandandah, Blue Mountains and The National Folk Festivals, as well as special sideshows throughout VIC, NSW and WA.

"Driven by the break-neck speed of Gordie "Crazy Legs" MacKeeman's supernatural fiddlin' and frenetic, high-kicking dancing, this quartet creates a roots music meltdown fuelled by jaw-dropping stagecraft and showmanship." – Says WOMADelaide.

Between the members, the group have slick expertise across 12 instruments. This blended mix live puts the skilled showmen Gordie, Peter, Thomas and Jason in their element. “We just love being onstage in front of an audience. We view our albums as a souvenir of the live show, so we record live off the floor as much as possible,” says Gordie.

The Gordie MacKeeman and The Rhythm Boys 2018 Australian Tour started 1 March in Western Australia before hitting Victoria, New South Wales and will be wrapping up in Canberra at the National Folk Festival 30 March-1 April.

Seeing 'Crazylegs' in action is guaranteed to be epic. Be sure not to miss the group at the Blue Mountains Folk Festival. For the full Blue Mountains Folk Festival line-up and ticket details head to http://www.bmff.org.au/.
