Are you making a list and checking it twice, but find shopping malls are more naughty than nice? The annual Celebrating Design artisan market has Christmas sorted, wander through the wide range of high quality crafted gifts under one roof at Springwood High School on Sat, Nov. 18. This is the perfect opportunity to jampack all those silly stockings Santa forgot about!
Visitors can browse the exquisite designs of more than 30 artisans including handcrafted jewellery, silks, scents, ceramics, hats, bags and more, in a casual, comfortable, festive atmosphere with refreshments and entertainment.
“When people buy direct from the artisans and designers, they’re not just ticking off their Christmas list, they are supporting the vibrant arts culture in our community but also supporting our school.’’ - Celebrating Design Committee Member, Jen Blandin de Chalain.
Many popular artisans will return this year, such as Satch with leather bags, purses and wallets and Sergio Design Studio with bags in a range of designer fabrics.
“Where else can you see eight or nine handcrafted jewellery makers under the one roof?"
Organised by the school Parents & Citizens Association (P&C), Celebrating Design provides a colourful and pleasant way to ease into the Christmas season, she said.
As well as the comfort of finding all those pesky presents in a single day, under one roof, the money raised from the gold coin donation at the door, raffle and café will go towards resources for students at the school.
Celebrating Design will be held at Springwood High School, Grose Rd, Faulconbridge, from 9am to 4pm Saturday, November 18. Email springwoodartshow@gmail.com or check out Celebrating Design’s Facebook page Here for more information.
