What’s next in the age of Trump & #METOO?

'All About Women' a Live Stream from the Sydney Opera House.

After, enjoying a fine Saturday at the Penrith Regional Gallery helping celebrate the 2018 Sydney Design Festival; join the action at The Joan on Sunday 4 March, 1pm-3.30pm, in the lead up to International Womens' Day.

Experience the main stage action of All About Women as it is streamed live from the Sydney Opera House, right here in Penrith. Local host Andrea Turner-Boys will MC the event bringing her skills and passion to the fore as she creates an opportunity to connect, engage and enjoy invigorating discussions on issues and ideas that matter to women today.

Grabbing Back: Women in the Age of Trump, will stimulate a conversation on how the Trump administration is affecting women world-wide. Trump may think putting a wife to work is a dangerous thing, but resistance is springing up. Women are uniting. Trump has inspired conversations, marches, and many, many memes. In fact, he has delivered women a new challenge: how do we respond to the new world order?

#METOO: The Making of a Movement, Tarana Burke and Tracey Spicer, explore how the mass movement #MeToo – a campaign to amplify the voices of victims of sexual harassment – was built. Questioning the consequences of calling out abusers, is this a turning point in the history of male power and protection? Asking the important questions: Why now, when it's been going on for so long? Will there be a backlash? And most importantly, what's going to change?

Attend one or both sessions of All About Women on Sunday 4th March 1pm-3.30pm.

Be part of this symposium streamed live - no woman, aspiring feminist, jaded women's libber, or man who, as Oprah reminded us at the Golden Globes, has chosen to listen, can afford to miss it

Buy tickets online or for further details, head to thejoan.com.au or call box office 4723 7600 Tickets $10 a session or both sessions $15.
