BMCAN Launch – Join the arts evolution!

Save the date for the Blue Mountains Creative Arts Network's (BMCAN) launch night this Thursday 18th October, 6 - 8.30pm at the Baroque Room in Katoomba.

BMCAN is calling on local artists to come join the action and help celebrate as the Blue Mountains Artists Network becomes ‘harder, better, faster, stronger’ under the new name Blue Mountains Creative Arts Network (BMCAN).

Invitations are open for all creatives! Whether you’re a visual artist, musician, dancer, writer, filmmaker, illustrator, designer, actor, intellectual or something who completely draws outside the lines in their creative pursuits the BMCAN has a night full of fun and industry insights instore. So, swing by for the launch and see what’s going to be shaking Katoomba’s (and the wider Blue Mountains community’s) creative core.

The launch will kick off with a celebration of 2018's BMCAN Blue Mountains Creative Leaders.

Over the years the Blue Mountains Artists Network (now BMCAN), has continued to support local artists, forming the extremely popular Blue Mountains Arts Trails, open studio weekends as well as finding members exhibitions in spaces like the Edge, Gallery One88, Braemar Gallery and the Wild Valley Art Park.

Join MC Maggie Davis as BMCAN presents the 2018 Blue Mountains Creative Leader Awards and introduces BMCAN’s new program initiatives, including; the ‘Wild Mountain Collective’ and the ‘Talking Art’ project with their associated blogs.

The night will be a great chance to meet and discuss the ever-changing creative industry as well as gain experience and perspective from variety of local artists and organisations.

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without refreshments for your mind, body and spirit with local performers, presentations, drinks and food – a true arts experience curated by Meg Benson.
