Two Swords
by Rachel Corrigan
Swords clash, emotions roar,
Fighting desperately to settle
the score,
Both men fight a worthy cause,
One will stand and one will fall,
For revenge both men will fight,
As two swords clash their auras ignite,
The fires of hate rage inside,
Both scream out a battle cry,
The fight ends now they both decide,
They hold their swords prepared
to die,
Both men smile with false pride,
Swords roar as auras collide,
Their destinies are now entwined,
The treads of fate cannot unwind,
Two lives clash and one life ends,
The other lives to fight again,
There is no victory to this fight,
But merely a loss of life.
“I have been lucky enough to live in Blaxland all my life. I started writing poetry in highschool, back then it was a time filler, something fun with a bit of challenge. Now a days i use my poetry as a way to get my thoughts out, to take all the things running around in my head and put them on paper and if I can make it rhyme that’s even better. “ - Rachel
