Brought together for the first time, 'The Tigers of Kitsch are Wiser than the Horses of Instruction' exhibition will be displayed at Rex-Livingston Art + Objects from Saturday 30th Sept. until Monday 9th Oct.
Drop-in and enjoy Kim Mackell’s work, remembered as a truly subversive artist and a thoroughly decent human being, the exhibition reflects on the world as seen through his eyes.
In between meals and with tobacco as a constant companion, Kim made a lot of art in a relatively short time. He completed most of the paintings, drawings and prints in this exhibition over a period of 15 years, from around the mid-1970s to the end of the 1980s.
Opening drinks for this astonishing collection will be held on Sept. 30th between 2/4pm.
