Toolo, the Blue Mountains Tool Library, and Modern Art Projects (MAP) will officially launch a new temporary artist studio and multiuse performance and exhibition arts space the two organisations have combined to create in Katoomba at the Katoomba Falls Kiosk on the weekend of 3rd and 4th June.
The stunning location, right on the escarpment overlooking the Jamison Valley, affords artists a splendid backdrop whilst they create their artworks.
Director of Toolo, Justin Morrissey says “there has been such an overwhelming demand on our flagship Tool Library space that we needed to find another space to offer artists and makers a space to create”.
“Partnering with Modern Art Projects has been a great way to facilitate a space for creative industries practitioners in the Blue Mountains”.
MAP President Beata Geyer thanked Blue Mountains City Council for the temporary lease of the space at a reduced rate until early 2018 when the property is scheduled for major renovation for future use.
